Everything starts at Akeboshi High School, where eager students known as "I-Chu" are trained to become adult idols. But everything changes when the marketing director gives a strange speech to the incoming students: "An I-Chu constantly works to achieve their goals. But what is an idol?" Each one will learn how to shine and try to find the answer to this question.
